Applications for naturalisation as a British Citizen from within Belgium must be made through the Consular Section at the British Embassy, Brussels and not direct to the Home Office.

The approximate timings of such applications are as follows:
- applications for the registration of minors: minimum 9 months
- applications for the naturalisation of adults: up to one year
