UK in Belgium

The UK and Belgium have a long shared history covering many areas:

- political links: as well as strong bilateral links, the European Union is often at the heart of relations between the two countries;
- commercial links: Belgium is the UK 6th largest trading partner; maintaining and developing trade relations is the main objective of our UKTI section
- cultural links: the Belgo-British Conference is one of the many examples of co-operation between the UK and Belgium which we achieve each year notably with the help of the British Council

Art of Integration


Peter Sanders, a British convert to Islam and leading photographer of the Muslim world exhibited his Art of Integration collection at the British Council Brussels and the University of Antwerp in March 09. 





British Ambassador plants a tree for World Environment Day



  On 5 June, the British Ambassador Dr Rachel Aron planted a beautiful magnolia tree in a Brussels park to celebrate World Environment Day.  This tree will also be the first of a number of trees that will be planted later this year to offset the emissions of the Embassy's Green QBP.
